Will A Casette Adapter Work In A Boombox

Abbey S. Mary Gruptis (Part I)

The monastery of St. Mary Gruptis rises on the south-west of Mount Pentime in the territory of the Regional Park Taburno-Camposauro. It was built between 940 and 944 by the Lombards (Benevento and established in more than three centuries earlier) and was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, although other sources postpone the consecration as the structure may have originally had a military function, given its strategic location .
Built halfway up the eastern slope of the narrow gorge called "the funn " or "the Puzzillo , suffered numerous architectural projects, many of them as a result of disastrous natural events such as earthquakes and fires.
The first inhabitants were the Benedictine monks of the abbey, followed by Celestine in 1264 and then by Humble in 1303. Subsequently returned to the Benedictines, was eventually entrusted to Camaldolesi in 1660, that lived up to the devastating earthquake of June 5, 1688 (XI on the Mercalli scale), which caused serious damage to the structure. As a result, and apart from the fact that by now had become the object of repeated raids by bandits, Cardinal Orsini VM (archbishop of Benevento and the future Pope Benedict XIII), ordered the abandonment, desecrating permanently in 1705 during a visit pastoral.

Look to the road from the port Solopaca Vitulano.

Currently only the ruins remain visible, but even so it is easy to reconstruct the shape original: in addition to the tower and the outer walls (best preserved elements), are the remains of the church (in line with the main entrance and near the cliff), wineries and sites for the Friars (right of the church) , together with a number of other areas of connection, as some flights of stairs preserved relatively well.
Due to the collapse of almost all the covers (the only areas covered are the square tower and some room, especially those coming in karst caves) the structure is completely invaded by trees and shrubs in a uniform manner so that it almost seems that they are the ruins have to work hard to preserve their "living space", and not vice versa. For this reason, most of the buildings is completely hidden to the eye, giving the impression from afar that the place is devoid of any interest. It is this apparent lack of interest that has led us to close observation, because, to put it simply, we wanted to take away the doubt.

Shoulder Height Sitting

Ferri sharp

Abandoned (for simple matters of timing) the forging of the blades, the latest achievements were the "restoration" of old knives found in the house: in addition to simplifying this process involves (I no longer have to wait weeks if not months before to be able to end a blade), I really like the idea of \u200b\u200busing a tool used by who knows How long, thus extending the useful life. So far I only restored

knives "Kitchen", ie blades of a certain length but of relatively small thickness (2-3 mm). In this case we are definitely in a different context, given the 6.7 mm thick at the guard. I honestly do not know what it was originally, because the blade was simply with just two pieces of wood roughly held together by a couple of rivets and a bit 'of wire. The only plausible explanation is that it was a sort of bayonet or something like that, given the partial controfilo and width of the blade. The latter had a very strong wave shape, typical of many consumed by sharpening blades, which left assume an original width of 3.5, perhaps as many as 4 cm.

The handle for the first time, I realized with hard leather, the manner of the Nordic knives. Since the tang was relatively short, I had to get a break at the terminal to secure a few centimeters of the threaded bar by low brazing (increasing the value of! ). Once shaped
all the elements, I proceeded with the installation, finishing with the rundown of the apple and the rewriting of the next few mm threaded rod protruding.
After several sessions of sandpaper, final adjustments and the realization of leather sheath (the same used for the handle) this is the result:

I used it seriously only a few weeks ago, and I must say that I was not disappointed, proving very effective in nell'intaccare mo 'to ax some dead branches rather thick. After all, his main job will be hard work, since for the small ones I already have various "small".

Zebra Versus Swain Mats

Bivouac in Camposauro

I finally had to camp out in Camposauro, even if just for one night. For years I wanted to do, because at night the mountain reveals totally different and interesting, and I wanted to satisfy my curiosity about it.

Unable to bring home all the equipment, I had to give up many things, including a sleeping bag and Trangia: the first, I had already decided to replace it with some blankets, while the second would have been remedied with the campfire.

After some rethinking, at the end we started a three ( "In the remaining three in the company" ), and after collecting the wood and have placed the camp, we immediately dedicated to a nutritious snack (it was about 19!) based on cheese, spicy dried sausage and bread, all washed down with good and excellent Aglianico Barbera (both in the area). Although it has been renamed "snack Hobbit" (which implies something that is tiny) but was a real and his own blowout, so much so that the dinner of roasted meat was postponed. Also of note is that the meat, eaten with bare hands full in wild delirium, and accompanied by the inevitable wine. The
after dinner was devoted to observing the night sky, which has revealed the magnificence of the Milky Way, which is crossed by dozens of meteors. The arrival of the clouds, then, there has also persuaded to fall in tents.

The night is spent at many awakenings caused by the noises of nocturnal animals (above all, a bloody horse in the night has seen fit to neigh loudly a few meters from the tents), and the cot on which "I slept" so uncomfortable in the morning I was completely sore back. The two covers I've used have done their job well (the temperature on arrival was 19 °, then in the night I will have dropped around 12 ° -13 °) are two wool blankets, manufactured in the USA in 1943 and part of the budget of the American army during the Second World War. Almost two historical relics, but despite this are very effective, despite their thinness, due to the high density of the fabric (one of these I use regularly at home in the winter).

The following day began with a hearty breakfast made around 8:30, followed by a "snack" after 9. Virtually we went up there to eat and drink, all right! Eheheheh ...
The following morning was spent in collecting firewood, made a short walk with the hope of finding something edible, in the spirit forest (the only two fungi found, in addition to being edible, they were also of wood, so were dried), exchanged some talk with some locals and a bit 'of photos taken at a small herd of horses came to drink from the fountain not far from the camp.

lunchtime, rekindled the fire, we cooked the pasta amatriciana sauce (gravy ready, definitely not Scots, but I fully recovered eating with a fork created on the fly with a sprig of beech), and by roasting some sausages, then accompanied the last remaining bottle of Barbera.
After a short rest under beeches, we have dismantled the camp and we are finally down to the valley.

Despite the lack of equipment, the experience was very positive.
When we chose the place to expect, I regret not having had the hammock with me, but how it is spent the night perhaps it was good. Excellent shower area, bought the day before just because I was looking for some time: also used as a simple water reservoir, is very practical and comfortable (of course remembering to keep the shade, in this case). Welcome change that the "traditional food", surely to be repeated in other situations: at the expense of a slight increase in weight gain in psychological terms it is too obvious (no, I'm not talking wine! ). And it's damning Scots!

only regret not having gone on the North side to admire the view offered by Valley Telesina lit by thousands of lights. It will be a good excuse to come back!

How To Get Rid Of Meralgia Parasthetica

Camposauro

The first message that I could dedicate it to that, over time, for me has become a sort of archetype of the mountain: Camposauro. This
massif, part of the Regional Park Taburno-Camposauro (located in the province of Benevento), it holds almost all the features I most appreciate the mountain environment and forests.
The hilly terrain offers scenic views remarkable, emphasized by the extensive hardwood forests, which alternate with rocks or clearings of varying length. The center of gravity is the famous plateau, dominated by Mount Camposauro that, with its 1338 meters, it dominates the whole area.
The proximity to population centers (the park is virtually surrounded) has meant that confirms a significant man-made environment (especially in the most negative aspects that this means, unfortunately) but has also allowed us to develop a close relationship with the mountain, causing an item is not distant and isolated, but is an integral part of the territory.

The north-Taburno Camposauro.
