Chocolate Cookies With Dried Cherries

Attaches to the garden! Gifts

We are taken, but taken, but just taken from a thousand things to do but do not tell you what we do not have time to do anything!

between jobs (employment) and the other, even at home the work continues, and we are 'attacking' heavily the garden as the house, furniture aside, it's almost over.

When we returned from Italy, in December, the garden was a disaster!
Pem and I had even afraid to walk because of the snakes hidden in the tall grass. That stinking of
Humar, who has a salary twice that of a gardener, did not even clean the path between a house and the other because his pride prevented him (it has now taken a week of leave, which expires tomorrow, but this is another story.)
So the first phase was a general cleaning to eliminate weeds and various shrubs.

A neighbor has offered to eradicate two large bamboo in exchange for the same bamboo that has sold on its behalf. He made a hard job for almost 2 weeks. It 's amazing how deep the roots of bamboo and hard!
Here he is at work:
one in front and behind him is the great root of the bamboo that hoe and split into pieces for over a week before being able to eradicate it:

Meanwhile rains It's raining and still raining.
Much more than last year, and so soon as there is a sunny day Humar rooms on the roofs to accommodate roof tiles moved by wind and water:

The first cleaning job has brought its results . Snakes in a week or two have moved out completely (aside from a few who come to sunbathe on the decking) and we also knocked down some parts of the old bamboo fence like the one pictured below behind the cage of rabbits:

a pro Posito of rabbits, we have finally bought a female (female real this time!) so maybe we have chances to get some baby bunny!

Then we knocked down a bit 'of teak and mahogany trees and a cotton tree because it had left a bit' too much up and not even the greatest beauty.
replace them with, or frangipani tree with a few more cute.
We were afraid that the cotton tree, very tall and large, falling on the roof Joglo of, or even worse, the new house. But luckily enough managed to pull the rope that was tied up on the trunk so as to make it fall where it did not do damage.

When we were in Bali in December, in addition to buying appliances for the house we also got a lot of plants for the garden ...
and it took a long time before being able to plant everything, but now the garden begins to take shape and it is a satisfaction!
We also took a grass turf, because grass seeds for the Italians do not sprout and we have not found anyone who sell the seeds of grass! Even
nurseries, using the existing grass, divide it into small pieces and replanted, all by hand of course!
We too have taken the lumps are ready (there is no roll because the harvest by hand) and we planted them a bit 'far apart:

here they are from near

was long but now, after almost a month since we planted grass has almost become a regular!
Besides, with 10 square feet of turf grass we planted more than 40 square meters!

Now that we have found that it works, and it does not take long before the various clumps grow and join, we will take other herb to finish the missing parts of the southern part of the garden, and then down to fertilize and wait for it to grow everything!
